Q. What are my payment options?

CCF has several payment options to choose from, all of which are very convenient. Please click here to view your payment options.

Q. How do I obtain an accurate payoff balance for my account?

Please call us at 801-542-0639 and ask to speak with an Account Manager. Whether you are trading your car in, looking to refinance your account, or just simply curious, our Account Managers will be more than happy to assist you.

Q. Can I make automatic payments every month?

Yes. You can make automatic, recurring monthly payments by enrolling in Auto Pay. With Auto Pay your payment will be made by electronic funds transfer on time every month with no stamps, hassles, worries, or additional fees. Call us at (801) 542-0639 to enroll over the phone.

Q. Can I make my payments online?

Yes. You will simply need your account number and zip code on file with Car City Financial for validation.

Q. Can I make my payments over the phone?

Yes. You may pay with a card or electronic check (ACH) through our automated system by calling (801) 542-0639. You will need your account number and zip code for validation. To obtain your account number, you may reference your monthly billing statement, or we can look it up for you.

Q. Do I have a grace period?

Your grace period, if any, is described in your retail installment sales contract. The grace period only determines the number of days before a late fee is assessed. Your payment is still due on the due date. You may call (801) 542-0639 for more information.

Q. Will I be charged a late fee?

The amount of the late fee and the duration of the grace period, if any, is described in your retail installment sales contract. Please call (801) 542-0639 for specific information regarding late fees.

Q. How does Car City Financial compute daily interest?

For Simple Interest Contracts, we compute daily interest (e.g. per diem) as follows:

(Principle Balance x Contract Interest Rate “APR”) / 365 = Daily Interest

Example: ($10,000 x 18%) / 365 = $4.93. This is the daily interest amount, or the per diem.

Q. Can I refinance?

We do not currently offer refinancing options

Q. Can I request to have monthly due date changed?

Yes. To qualify for a due date change, your account must be in good standing and the first payment must be paid. Additionally, the new due date must be within the same billing cycle (with 14 days of the current due date).

Q. How do I change or update my billing address or phone number?

Please call us at (801) 542-0639 and ask to speak with an Account Manager. They can easily update your contact information to ensure you continue receiving your monthly billing statements and other important information regarding your account.

Q. When my account is satisfied (paid in full), when should I expect you to release your lien on the vehicle?

This depends on how you make your final payment. If paid off with cash or certified funds (cashiers/official check from bank) we will release our lien on the vehicle title immediately after we receive final payment. If paid by any other means, we will wait between 10-30 days to ensure receipt of funds. We will send you lien release documentation by US mail to the to the address we have on file, unless you otherwise instruct.

Q. What should I do if my vehicle is involved in an automobile accident?

If your vehicle sustains physical damage in an accident, you should file a claim with the appropriate insurance provider immediately. After you’ve filed a claim, call us at (801) 542-0639 so we may assist you with further information that the insurance company will need to process your claim.

Q. How do I notify Car City Financial of a change in my insurance carrier or my insurance policy?

If you change your auto insurance carrier or any of your policy information, please call us at (801) 542-0639 as soon as possible. It is important to provide us with any new or different insurance information when a change is made to ensure our records are accurate and up to date.

Q. What is the “loss payee”, or lien holder address to be listed on my auto insurance policy?

Your insurance policy should list Car City Financial as the loss payee at the following address:
